Dear Pat,
I had a dream of you one night and it took me back to the time we spent together. Though I hadn't known you for long I felt so excited about you. I am sad that we had such a short time together. I don't remember anymore, it feels like it was such a long time ago. I did not love you, obviously you can't fall in love with a person you don't know, but I liked you and would have wanted to get to know you better. I loved that you would call me beautiful every time you laid eyes on me, and the way you would held my hand or would tighten it if I ever let go. You played the part of the boy with hugest crush so perfectly. In the end I hurt you although I didn't mean to. In the end I don't think I was ready and I don't think you were either. I know you're so sure of yourself that you were but you were not. I say this because while I was with you I felt unsure with myself. You should never get with an unsure heart. No matter how much I wanted to hold you, or place a kiss on your cheek I knew that I couldn't. Always follow your instincts I told myself the last time I got hurt. I know that I may not be good at showing my feelings the way you did, but I just want to say I liked you till the very end. I hope that when we get a bit older we'll be able to see each other again with open hearts. Who knows? Maybe we won't, for we are human and we change. I won't get my hopes up but I'll always keep you as an important person in my heart. I know that some of my close friends thought I was silly for even liking you to begin with. I don't think there's anything silly about liking someone. We're all different for we all like different things. I wish you the best and I hope you get serious about school. Don't change who you are but do better for yourself. My final and concluding thought is that I really wish that it wasn't for you the way it was for me. Because in that case it must have been bloody painful, and I really don't want you to have gone through all that. In the end I don't regret liking you, and I hope you feel the same way.
Sincerely,
Jenny.
